§ Mr. SPOORasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he has received a communication from the Foreign Minister of the German Government requesting that someone of German nationality should be given a seat on the Mandates Commission of the League of Nations; and, if so, in what terms he has replied or intends to reply?
§ Sir A. CHAMBERLAINI have been informed that it is the intention of the German Government to raise this matter at the June session of the Council of the League of Nations. No question arises of a direct reply on my part, nor can I prejudge the attitude of the Council, by whom the question must be freely debated, if and when it comes before them.
