§ Sir L. WORTHINGTON-EVANSThe composition of the Committee is shown on page 946 of the current monthly Army List. The Chairman is appointed by the Army Council; the members are similarly appointed on the nomination of the Departments which they represent. The full Committee meets every month. Its functions are to investigate, and arrange for the carrying out of trials and experiments in connection with, all598W matters relating to small arms and machine guns, their ammunition, equipment and appurtenances.
