§ Colonel DAYasked the Minister of Transport if his attention has been drawn to the many accidents that have been caused during the last three months by omnibuses and motor lorries skidding on hills or through defective brakes; and will he consider the introduction of legislation to compel all heavy vehicles in the future to be fitted with front-wheel brakes?
§ Colonel ASHLEYI am aware of the progress which has been made in the development of front-wheel brakes, but I am not satisfied that sufficient experience has yet been possible to justify a Regulation making their use compulsory.
