PERCYThe number of totally blind children receiving educational training during the year ended 31st December, 1925, the last year for which complete returns are available, was upwards of 1,700 out of a total of 2,000 ascertained by local education authorities in that year. The fact that the remainder are not attending special schools is due, in a very large number of cases, to the unwillingness of the parents to have their children sent to residential schools.
