asked the Secretary of State for Air the type of aeroplane and the age of same which was flown by Flight-Lieutenant William Geoffrey Meggitt, attached to the Northolt Aerodrome, which crashed and killed the pilot on 28th January; and whether he had received any previous complaints from other pilots as to the unfitness of this machine?

The type of machine in question was a Siskin III, and it was delivered from the makers in August, 1924. The answer to the second part of the question is in the negative.
