§ Mr. DENNISONasked the Home Secretary if he is aware of the practice of marching prisoners through the public streets from Clerkenwell Police Station; and whether he will give instructions to the Commissioner of Police for the Metropolis that proper conveyance should he provided for this purpose, in order that unnecessary humiliation and degradation to prisoners may be avoided?
§ Sir W. JOYNSON-HICKSThis matter has already been under the consideration of a committee with a view to the rearrangement of the Prison Van Service. In the meantime directions have been given that prisoners shall be conveyed by cab.
