§ Sir L. FORESTIER-WALKERIn the last two seasons the Forestry Commissioners have planted in the New Forest group 835 acres of conifers and 34 acres of hardwoods, of which 758 and 32, respectively, were in the New Forest itself. The cost has been, approximately, £7 per acre.
