asked the Under-Secretary of State for India whether he is now in a position to give some indication as to the date on which it is proposed to publish the Indian Cotton Textile Tariff Board Inquiry; and whether the views of the Government of India in regard to all the Recommendations of the Board will be made public at the same time as the Report?

Earl WINTERTON

The Report will be published next Tuesday together with a Resolution of the Government of India stating their conclusions regarding the principal recommendations of the Board.

Mr. DUNNICO

asked the Under-Secretary of State for India whether the president of the Indian Tariff Board is proceeding to England on leave; whether his visit to this country is connected in any way with official business; and who will act in his stead during his absence as president of the board?

Earl WINTERTON

Mr. Ginwalla, the president of the Indian Tariff Board, is at present in this country, but my Noble Friend has no further information.
