HC Deb 24 February 1927 vol 202 c1938W
Captain BRASS

asked the Minister of Transport whether, in view of the successful adoption of the system of circular traffic in certain parts of the Metropolitan Police Area, he will consider its introduction in some of the squares in that area with a view to reducing the Invite number of dangerous traffic crossings at present in existence?

Colonel ASHLEY

Proposals for the extension of the "Roundabout" system of traffic working, at places in the London area other than those where it is now in force, are under examination, and I hope that from time to time it will be found possible to introduce this system at other points. The number of places, however, where this system can be operated with advantage is limited and each congested traffic point presents a separate problem for solution.
