HC Deb 14 February 1927 vol 202 c589W
Mr. AMMON

asked the Postmaster-General whether his attention has been drawn to the generally unhealthy condition of the Llandrindod Wells Post Office; whether he is aware that there is no retiring room for the male staff and that the retiring room for the female staff is most unsuitable; what steps he proposes to take to remedy this deficiency of accommodation; and whether, seeing that land was purchased nearly two years ago for the new post office building, he will authorise immediate steps to be taken in connection with its, erection?

Sir W. MITCHELL-THOMSON

The defects in the existing accommodation, although not so serious as represented, are recognised. It is proposed to erect a new office, but I regret that it has not been found practicable to include provision for it in the Estimates for next year.
