§ Mr. GRIFFITHSasked the Minister of Health whether, in view of the fact that 418W some villages in England and Wales are many miles away from the relieving officer of the district and that some other relieving officer is more easily available, he will make a Regulation empowering such other officer to give relief in cases of sudden urgent necessity, or whether he will take steps to secure an amendment of Section 35 (1) of the Poor Law Act, 1927, so as to make it clear that a relieving officer may assist any person in sudden urgent necessity outside his union without any risk of incurring the penalties provided by Section 227 of that Act?
