§ Sir W. MITCHELL-THOMSONI am not aware that the difficulties encountered are greater than were inevitable with so complete a change in mechanism and methods of operation; and practical experience has not brought to light any serious defects in the apparatus. In order to ensure the best possible results, special attention is being given to the maintenance of all plant concerned and to the operating procedure of the staff and of subscribers.
