CHADWICKIn the returns of imports and exports, tissues made partly of artificial silk and partly of other textile fibres are, in general, classed according to the trade description under which they are sold, which is understood to correspond generally with the character of the material of greatest value. In the case of tissues made of mixtures of artificial silk and cotton however, the particulars are shown under the sub-heading "Of artificial silk. mixed with other materials," without regard to the percentage content of artificial silk.
