§ Major BRAITHWAITEasked the Secretary of State for Air if he will give the figures of trained pilots in Germany, France, Italy, Russia, America and Great Britain?
§ Sir S. HOAREOn the assumption that my hon. and gallant Friend is asking for numbers of trained service pilots, following is the answer: As regards Great Britain, the present number of qualified pilots in the Royal Air Force, Air Force Reserve and Auxiliary Air Force is 3,239, of whom 119 are, for medical or other reasons, no longer available for pilot's duties. So far as my information goes, no corresponding official figures have been made public in regard to the United States, France, Italy or Russia. Germany has no military or naval Air Service.
