HC Deb 29 April 1927 vol 205 c1172W
Mr. MacKENZIE LIVINGSTONE

asked the President of the Board of Trade what was the number of duly-qualified lawyers employed in the permanent staff, in that capacity, by the Board of Trade in 1913–14 and borne on the Estimates for that year?

Sir P. CUNLIFFE-LISTER

The staff of the Solicitor's Department in the Board of Trade numbered, in 1914, 24, and of that number nine were qualified barristers or solicitors. The permanent staff of this Department now numbers 22, of whom 10 are qualified solicitors.
