HC Deb 12 April 1927 vol 205 c208W
Colonel DAY

asked the Minister of Health if his attention has been drawn to the new system of remedial exercises introduced by Guy's Hospital, including physical jerks; and, in view of the opinion of the hospital authorities that this special system increases the physical power of patients, will he consider introducing it in the hospitals and institutions under his direct supervision?

Sir K. WOOD

Yes, Sir. My right hon. Friend is aware of the department for remedial treatment to which the hon. Member refers. Similar departments exist in other large hospitals, and patients needing this form of treatment receive it under medical direction not only in the larger, but also in many of the smaller hospitals. My right hon. Friend does not see any necessity to take any action in the direction suggested.
