HC Deb 12 April 1927 vol 205 c211W
Lord APSLEY

asked the President of the Board of Trade the length of stay in this country of the Prussian Commission which is at present studying harbour and general conditions connected with the fishing and allied industries; which towns the Commisison is visiting; and exactly what investigations it is carrying out?

Mr. GUINNESS

I have been asked to reply. The Commission arrived in this country on the 24th March and left on the 1st April. It visited Aberdeen, Hull, Grimsby and Fleetwood. The main objects of the Commission were to study the organisation at these ports for the landing and distribution of fish, and as regards Fleetwood to investigate the system employed there of coaling trawlers.
