HC Deb 11 April 1927 vol 205 c49W
Mr. W. THORNE

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether there are any conciliation boards operating in Singapore, as in Great Britain, for the purpose of dealing with hours, wages, and conditions appertaining to general workers in the event of disputes taking place between employers and their work-people?

Mr. AMERY

I am not aware of the existence of any such boards, but if the hon. Member desires, I will make inquiry.
