asked the Minister of Labour whether, since the imposition of the paper duty in 1928, the percentage of unemployment in the paper and paper board trade has increased or decreased?

At 26th April, 1926, the percentage of insured persons classified as belonging to the paper and paper-board industry recorded as unemployed in Great Britain was 4.5 as compared with 7.0 per cent. at 21st March, 1927. There are no figures relating separately to the branch of the trade affected by the duty.
