§ The LORD ADVOCATE1,585 barrels of cured herrings were on hand in Scotland at the end of March, 1927. The corresponding figures for the same date in the three previous years were, in 1926, 1,494 barrels; in 1925, 1,864 barrels, and in 1924, 51,275 barrels.
