HC Deb 15 November 1926 vol 199 cc1548-9W
Sir J. PENNEFATHER

further asked what restrictions or conditions, if any, are imposed upon British migrants to Canada, Australia and New Zealand who pay their own fares, and are not assisted under any Government scheme?

Mr. AMERY

There are no restrictions upon the admission to Canada, Australia or New Zealand of persons from this country who pay their own passages, provided that they are able to satisfy the immigration authorities at the port of arrival that they do not come within the category of prohibited immigrants, as defined in the immigration legislation of the Dominion concerned.
