§ Colonel ASHLEYThe first section in Hammersmith was begun by the London County Council in 1920. The Middlesex County Council have since completed several sections and are proceeding with others. As there are outstanding sections of the scheme which involve the collaboration of various local authorities with my Department, and for which no financial provision has yet been made, I am not at, present in a position to forecast the date of completion.
