HC Deb 11 March 1926 vol 192 c2632W
Captain FAIRFAX

asked the President of the Board of Education if any schemes of educational improvement, new buildings, or recreation grounds submitted by the Norwich Educational Authorities have been disallowed by him; and, if so, will he give particulars?

Lord E. PERCY

I am not aware that sanction has in recent months been refused by my Department to any such schemes submitted by the Norwich Authority. In fact, a number of proposals have been approved, including one involving the elimination of a black list school. As regards the acquisition of playing fields and the replacement of the Girls' Secondary School, I would refer my hon. and gallant Friend to the replies given by me on the 4th March to the hon. Members for Shipley (Mr. Mackinder) and West Leicester (Mr. Pethick-Lawrence), copies of which I am sending him.
