Dr. V. DAVIESasked the Secretary of State for Air the basis upon which pensions were granted to 16 cases of pulmonary tuberculosis on account of their disability who were invalided out of the service during the last three years?
§ Sir S. HOARENine of the cases in question were considered directly attributable to the conditions of post-War service and pensions were accordingly granted under the Royal Air Force (post-War) Regulations; the degree of disablement at the date of invaliding was assessed at 100 per cent. in each case, but in view of improvement in the pensioner's condition, the assessment and consequently the pension have since been reduced in three of these cases. In the remaining seven cases, which were due to service in the Great War, pensions were granted under Great War warrants by the Ministry of Pensions and I am unaware of the basis upon which they were assessed.
