HC Deb 04 March 1926 vol 192 c1643W
Mr. SCURR

asked the Under-Secretary of State for India whether he is aware that considerable unrest prevails amongst the employés of the Bengal-Nagpur Railway, due to the alleged indiscriminate dismissal of numbers of workers; that representations from the men have been ignored, and that there is danger of a stoppage; and whether he will cause an inquiry to be held into the question with a view of meeting the grievances of the men?

Earl WINTERTON

The Bengal-Nagpur Railway is managed by a company, and my Noble Friend is not prepared to intervene in the matter referred to by the hon. Member.
