asked the Minister of Agriculture the value of fish of all sorts landed in Great Britain for the years 1923, 1924, and 1925, and the number of boats and men engaged in the fishing industry during 1925?

The value of fish of all sorts landed in Great Britain by British and foreign vessels direct from fishing grounds was as follows:

In England and Wales the total numbers of boats and men engaged in the fishing industry in 1924 (the last year for which figures are available) were 8,646 vessels and 37,027 men. In Scotland in 1925 the corresponding numbers were 6,681 vessels and 27,141 fishermen.
