§ Colonel DAYasked the Prime Minister if he will consider the setting up of a Royal Commission to consider the conditions prevailing in industrial life assurance?
§ The PRIME MINISTERThe whole position of industrial assurance was considered by a Departmental Committee of the Board of Trade in 1919–1920, and their recommendations were embodied in the Industrial Assurance Act, 1923. I do not think that there is any necessity for further inquiry at the present time.
