HC Deb 21 June 1926 vol 197 cc47-8W
Sir COOPER RAWSON

asked the Home Secretary how many men who were convicted of offences during the strike have been liberated; and, in addition, the nature of the offences for which they were convicted?

Sir W. JOYNSON-HICKS

Thirteen men have been released before their sentences expired. One group of seven had attempted to impede transport and three had impeded it; one defaced a Government poster; one published false news; and one threw a brick when an electric cable was being moved.
