Mr. CHAMBERLAINThe total remuneration (salaries, rations, etc., and superannuation allowances) of relieving officers and other officers employed in connection with domiciliary Poor Law relief in England and Wales, excepting medical officers, dispensers and other persons employed in the treatment and care of the sick, was £1,017,799 during the year 1923–24 and £981,000 during the year 1924–25.
