§ Mr. DUCKWORTHasked the Minister of Labour whether his attention has been called to the movement initiated by the Manchester Chamber of Commerce for the promotion of a league of industrial peace; and whether he will consider what assistance his Department can give in promoting the aims and objects of such a movement?
§ Sir A. STEEL-MAITLANDI do not know of any such movement initiated by 2127W the Manchester Chamber of Commerce. I shall, of course, be glad to consider very carefully any proposals to promote industrial peace which are supported by the parties to industry and which provide a method for dealing with the practical difficulties to be encountered.
