CUNLIFFE-LISTERThe quantities of imported tobacco entered for home consumption in the United Kingdom, less the quantities on which drawback was paid, were: In 1900, 80,084,923 lbs., in 1913, 95,976,011 lbs., and in 1925, 133,554,708 lbs. Less than 2 per cent of any of these quantities was imported in the manufactured form, and information is not available as to the proportions in which the remainder was used for the manufacture of cigars, cigarettes and pipe tobacco, respectively.
