Mr. CHAMBERLAINThe number of houses in England and Wales authorised on the 30th June, 1926, under the Act of 1923 was 303,008 and under the Act of 1924, 137,273; the capitalised value of the annual subsidies payable by the Government if the houses are duly completed being £22,725,600 and £21,686,875, respectively.
