§ Mr. STAMFORDasked the President of the Board of Education whether he is aware that, before the issue of Memorandum 44, the Leeds Education Committee was negotiating for the purchase of playing fields to be used by elementary school children of the city, and that the negotiations for the purchase have now been stopped; and whether, in view of the need for more playing fields, he will modify his proposals and allow the education committee to continue its negotiations?
