asked the Minister of Transport whether he proposes to accept the recommendation of the London Traffic Committee as to the question of restoring the refuge in the middle of Piccadilly Circus when the present works in connection with the railway are completed?

The London Traffic Advisory Committee have made no recommendation in this matter. The question of restoring the refuge in the middle of Piccadilly Circus is primarily one for the London County Council and the Westminster City Council.
