HC Deb 23 February 1926 vol 192 c347W
Mr. MACLEAN

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he is aware of the large sums of money appropriated each year by insurance companies through the lapsing of policies; and whether he is prepared to set up a committee of inquiry or a Royal Commission to go into the whole question of industrial insurance, or introduce legislation to deal with the matter?

Mr. CHURCHILL

I would refer the hon. Member to the reply given on the 18th February to the hon. Member for Kingston-upon-Hull (Mr. Grotrian), of which I am sending him a copy.
