HC Deb 19 February 1926 vol 191 cc2299-300W
Dr. LITTLE

asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury the number of situations in the Civil Service which at present fall within Category 4 of Schedule B of the Order in Council of 10th January, 1910, the holders of which are thereby exempted from examination by the Civil Service Commissioners; whether any up-to-date list of such appointments is published; if so, where it can be obtained; and, if not, whether he will consider the desirability of causing such a list to be made available?

Mr. RONALD McNEILL

The number of situations added to, and not since withdrawn from, Schedule B of the relevant Orders in Council is approximately 550. There is no up-to-date list of such situations embodying changes which have been made in the organisation of Departments since the War, but the preparation of such a list is at present under consideration.
