HC Deb 15 February 1926 vol 191 c1557W
Mr. SNELL

asked the Secretary of State for War why the scheme of clerical re-organisation approved by the Treasury for application to the War Office outstation offices has not yet been applied to the offices of the Royal Ordnance College, Woolwich; and will he issue instructions for the new gradings and rates of pay to be introduced without further delay?

Captain KING

The complements of the new gradings for the Royal Artillery College are in an advanced state of preparation, and I hope to be able to issue instructions shortly.

Mr. SNELL

asked the Secretary of State for War whether he Is aware that dissatisfaction exists amongst the civilian clerical staff employed under the jurisdiction of the chief ordnance officer, Woolwich, in consequence of the delay in connection with the introduction of the clerical reorganisation scheme to this particular office; and whether, as it is now 10 months since Treasury approval of the scheme was granted, he will cause instructions to be issued for the introduction of the new conditions of service without further delay?

Captain KING

I hope to issue instructions for the application of the new scheme to this office within a very short time.
