HC Deb 15 February 1926 vol 191 c1563W
Sir H. SLESSER

asked the Minister of Health whether, in view of the decision of the House of Lords in the case of Lapish versus Braithwaite, the Government will take early steps to prevent the possibility of corruption or undue influence in local government by introducing legislation prohibiting persons who are employed in a directoral or managerial capacity by limited companies, which hold contracts with a local authority, from being elected to and being a member of such local authority?

Sir K. WOOD

My right hon. Friend has this matter under consideration.
