HC Deb 15 February 1926 vol 191 cc1556-7W
Lord ERSKINE

asked the Secretary of State for War whether his attention has been drawn to the recommendation of the Committee appointed by the War Office to consider the employment of pharmacists in the Army, to the effect that in order to effect the improvement necessary in connection with the supply, distribution, and dispensing of medical and surgical supplies in peace and war pharmacists should be employed to a greater extent titan hitherto; and if he can state the number of pharmacists serving in the Royal Army Medical Corps at the time the Committee's recommendation was made and at the present time?

Sir L. WORTHINGTON-EVANS

I am aware of the recommendation referred to. At the time of the Committee's report there were three pharmacists serving in the Royal Army Medical Corps; there ace now two.
