HC Deb 10 February 1926 vol 191 cc1071-2W
Colonel DAY

asked the Home Secretary whether, in view of the statutory provisions contained in the Official Secrets Acts, 1911 and 1920, he will consider action being taken against a late officer in charge of the Criminal Investigation Department, in view of his recently published statements as to police inefficiency?

Sir W. JOYNSON-HICKS

The statements in their present form are misleading, but do not appear to me to afford any ground for action of the kind suggested.
