Mr. DAVIDSON, pursuant to his reply (OFFICIAL REPORT, 8th February, 1926, Columns 632–3), supplied the following particulars:
The number of flag officers, and officers of equivalent rank, in 1914 and in 1925 were 112 and 103, respectively. These numbers include officers on half-pay as well as those in appointments. The cost of their pay and table money, where payable, was £154,450 in 1914 and £187,810 in 1925.
