Mr. GUINNESSThe approximate cost of administration of the small-holding estates of county councils in England and Wales in the year 1924–25 was £155,000. This expenditure, which includes payment for services other than, the management of the estates, represents rather less than 9 per cent. of their total expenditure in relation to their estates.
