asked the Minister of Health what amount was paid out in Poor Law relief by the Thorne Board of Guardians for the quarter ending 31st December, 1925; and what was the amount paid to unemployed persons during the same period?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

The amount of domiciliary Poor Law relief paid in money and kind to persons in receipt of such relief in the Thorne Union during the quarter ended in December, 1925, was £3,104. Of this amount £1,063 was paid to unemployed persons and their dependants.
