HC Deb 04 February 1926 vol 191 c360W
Sir A. HOLBROOK

asked the Secretary of State for War if he is able to state the percentage of Empire goods sold in the Navy, Army, and Air Force Institutes; and whether it is intended to insist-that only British or Empire goods shall be sold in these institutes?

Sir L. WORTHINGTON-EVANS

The answer to both parts of the question is in the negative. The Board take steps to encourage the sale of Empire goods in the institutes, but it would clearly be impracticable to confine their trading entirely to such goods.
