§ Mr. CHURCHILLThe total amount received during the calendar year 1925 by the Agent-General for Reparation Payments in respect of the Dawes annuities (which cover all Allied claims against Germany arising out of the Peace Treaty, whether for reparations or otherwise), was 1,055,595,000 gold marks (£52,780,000). Of this, the total net amount paid by the Agent-General to or for the account of the British Empire was 193,410,000 gold marks (£9,670,000). Out of this amount approximately £6,000,000 represents the United Kingdom's share of reparation, and approximately £1,000,000 the share of the other parts of the British Empire, the balance being receipts on account of the Army of Occupation and Belgian War Debt.
