HC Deb 04 February 1926 vol 191 c341W
Sir F. HALL

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether it is proposed that the economic and disarmament conferences to be convened under the auspices of the League of Nations shall be held outside Switzerland; and, if so, what is the reason for this, seeing that such a course would entail additional expenditure, compared with the holding of the conferences in Switzerland, where buildings and other facilities have been provided at a heavy cost?

Mr. LOCKER-LAMPSON

No proposal from the Council has reached His Majesty's Government that either of the conferences should be held outside Switzerland. As far as His Majesty's Government are aware, both of these will be held at Geneva.
