HC Deb 15 December 1926 vol 200 c2960W
Mr. G. HALL

asked the Minister of Labour if he will give the approximate figures showing how many persons there are between the ages of 60 and 70 years who are insured under the Unemployment Acts?

Mr. BETTERTON

From a recent investigation into the employment and insurance history of a sample of persons insured against unemployment in Great Britain it is estimated that the number of such persons, aged 60 to 69 years, inclusive, is between 600,000 and 650,000 out of a total of 11,650,000 insured persons.
