§ Sir B. FALLEasked the First Lord of the Admiralty if he is aware that under the pension scheme approved by Order in Council, 7th November, 1924, the widow of a naval rating killed in the service of his country receives 10s. 6d. per week and that naval ratings are required to subscribe 4½.d. per week under the Widows', Orphans' and Old Age Contributory Pensions Act, and that such widows receive no benefit under that Act and if he will see to it that the widow of the rating shall receive the pension her husband has paid for or that the rating be relieved from payment?
§ Mr. BRIDGEMANI am aware that under the provisions of Order in Council of the 7th November, 1924, the widow of a naval rating killed in the service of the Crown is eligible for a minimum pension of 10s. 6d, a week and also that, while serving, naval ratings are required to contribute under the Widows', Orphans' and Old Age Contributory Pensions Act, 1925. As regards the remaining portion of his question, I must refer my hon. and gallant Friend to the Minister of Health.
