§ Sir J. GILMOURThe Conon Lodge was used by the Board of Agriculture as a residence for their factor. The purchase of further lands in Skye since the passing of the Land Settlement Act of 1919 has made it desirable that the1936W Board's estate office should be situated at a more convenient centre than Uig. The estate administration has accordingly been removed to Portree as from Martinmas, 1926.
