HC Deb 03 December 1926 vol 200 c1558W
Mr. STAMFORD

asked the Minister of Labour the number of applications for unemployed benefit which have been disallowed on the grounds of the adequacy of the incomings of the household as defined in Circular L.E.C. 82/21?

Sir A. STEEL-MAITLAND

The following table shows the number of applications for extended benefit recommended for disallowance by local committees in Great Britain during the period 12th January, 1926, to 15th November, 1926, on the ground of the adequacy of the incomings of the household:

I indicated in my reply of the 30th November to my hon. Friend's previous question the moneys available for grants towards the maintenance of unclassified roads in rural areas have not yet been entirely allocated. A comprehensive review of the assistance given towards the maintenance of these roads will appear in due course in the Annual Report on the Administration of the Road Fund.
